The Right Reverend Bishop German, a present member of the Holy Synod, in accordance with his declaration of May 11 of this year, delivered to the Accounting Department a 5% certificate #34723 of the State Bank for 1,000.00 rubles, issued in 1881, with coupons, maturing on October 10, 1889, which he has donated for expenses incurred as a result of fire damage to the buildings of the Russian Spiritual Mission in San Francisco.

The Holy Synod, by its decision #1500 of July 5/19 of this year, has determined to keep the said certificate for 1,000.00 rubles in the Synodal treasury until specific instructions from the Bishop of the Aleutian Islands are received.
