Letter to Bishop Nicholas (Ziorov)
San Francisco
4/16 May 93
Your Grace and most merciful
Archpastor,
I feel very guilty before you
for not until now answering the kind letter you sent upon your arrival in
Chicago. I thank you for wishing to send me the complete translations of the
catechism of Your Church (perhaps the Catechism of Archbishop Platon?) so that
I may compare it against my manuscript, as I do not wish ever to publish
anything that would not have the imprint of the Orthodoxy of the ancient
church, i.e. that which is faithful to the Churchıs teaching to the smallest
detail.
Your Grace, please accept my
expressions of profound respect and consideration.
Asking for your prayers, I
remain the lowest servant of Your Grace,
Carl E. G. Oppen
