From the financial report for the year 1893
The
receipts of the Right Reverend Nicholas [Ziorov], Bishop of the Aleut Islands
and Alaska, in receiving of $3,850, are located in the book of staff sums of
the Alaska Spiritual Consistory.
The
salaries of the archpriest and the reader, added together and divided in
halves, were given in the course of 3 months to the Hieromonk Metrophanes
(until his appointment to the Unalaska vacant position) and to the Priest
A[mbose] Vreta, in the course 6 month (until the special credit was appointed
for the Chicago church).
The
receipts of the Priest N[icholas] Greenkevich are located in the book of staff
sums on the A. S. Consistory. The receipts of the Protodeacon J[ohn] Sobolev in
receiving by him of $404.40, and the Deacon N[icholas] Vasiliev in receiving by
him of $642.85, are located in the book of the staff sums. The remnant is a
result of the vacancy for a while of a deacon's position. The receipts of
persons who occupied vacant positions of subdeacons, Hieromonk Nicholas
[Korastin] – $410.50; Hieromonk Sebastian [Dabovich] – $985.20, and
A[lexander; future Archbishop Innocent] Pustynsky – $164.20, are located
on the book of the staff sums. The remnant is a result of one position
remaining vacant for 5 months.
The
stipend of a reader was spent thus: to the Reader A. Pustynsky – $130; to
the singers in the Cathedral church – $200; to the Pennsylvanian readers,
[Peter] Kohanik, Renich [?], and Moroz, $100 each – $300; and to the
acting reader in Kilisna, Kokran [?] – $30. Remnant – $174.68.
The
sum of $730.75 is spent thus: to the servant J. Spaich – $472.50; to the
servant Danilovich – $248.25; to the boy Prokhorov – $9; and to the
singer P[aul] Ligda – $5. The receipts of the clerk of the Spiritual
Consistory, Priest N. Greenkevich, are located in the book of the staff sums.
Money
$306.69 are spent thus: newspapers – $37.55; postal expenses, etc.
– $67.90; telegrams – $119.25; paper, envelopes, pens, ink, etc.
– $40.49; to the mail carrier for feasts – $4.50; and boxes in the Safe
Deposit for keeping of money –
$37. Receipts of the singers in receiving by them money: J[oachim] Zubkovsky
– $137.71; N[icholas] Kedrolivansky – $122; and P. Ligda –
$122, are located in the book of the staff sums. The singers were paid in
accord with the previously established practice, since there is no special
credit for the choir.
