SAN JOSE, October 26.– Frightened by the report of a short circuit of a controller on a San Jose street car as it was passing Twenty-third and Santa Clara streets this morning, Mrs. Luke Ivanovich jumped from her seat and was struck by a passing car. She died instantly.
