HOLY TRINITY ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL OF SAN FRANCISCO, CAL.

1520 GREEN STREET

San Francisco, Cal., Feb 20, 1919

Dear and much-esteemed Father Archpriest,

I just received the information you sent me about the Assembly [Sobor] in Cleveland on the 25th of this month. Of course, I am not in position to attend, but I am happy that it will take place for the benefit of all and hope that everything will be "all right."

I would like to ask you, as the representative of the San Francisco parish, to resolve the question of our $10,000 debt that has existed for already 12 years, and for which we have no means to pay the interest.

Also, I ask you to raise the question of the "introduction of the New Style calendar." This is mandatory in America, and especially now, when Serbia, and along with her all other Slavic tribes, has already introduced the new European style calendar. If it is not introduced here, in our Mission, then we will have to celebrate all feasts twice, for the Serbs would want to do it in accordance with their style, the Russians everywhere would of course join them, and the old calendar will gradually fall out of use. Please, resolve this issue at the Assembly.

With the wishes of our success, I remain,

Priest V. Sakovich
