San Francisco May 26th 1888
To His Excellency A. E. Olarovsky
Consul General of Russia
As Mr. S. Martinovich is ill and has been confined to his bed for the last four weeks, he requested me to inform your Excellency that your welcome missive was duly received, and he would with great pleasure attend the meeting appointed by the Right Reverend Bishop Vladimir, if he was able to do so. But according to his attending physicians opinion, he will not be able to leave his bed for some time to come; and therefore, under the circumstances it is for him an impossibility to call at the Right Reverend Bishops residence May 30th.
Remain respectfully Yours
S. S. Petrovich
