The Russian Church,

Powell Street, City.

Gentlemen –

Understanding that you are desirous of purchasing a piece of property suitable for a cemetery, we beg to admit to you the choice property, containing Eighteen and one fifth (18 1/5) acres, just immediately North of Salem Cemetery. This property has a frontage on the County Road as well as on a Railroad, and is now reached by the San Mateo Electric Line and the S.P.R.R., which steps at this cemetery.

Salem Cemetery is the first cemetery reached on going from this city, and is adjacent to Home of Peace, Hills of Eternity, Cypress Lawn, Holy Cross and Mt. Olivet Cemeteries.

The price for this property is fifteen thousand ($15.000.00) dollars. Should the above described property not be large enough, we can give you immediately adjoining this property on the North, as per diagram enclosed, known as "NO.2", containing Twenty one (21) acres, more or less, and should more frontage be wanted on the road, we can give you in addition the portion marked on the diagram "NO.3", containing about one and one half (1 1/2) acres; making a total of about Forty-one (41) acres, which would make the most handsome cemetery in San Mateo County at a reasonable figure.

Respectfully yours,

David Stern & Sons
